There Are 3 Zamak Die Casting Parts We Are Working Recently

The project is from our customer, they sent us the handles samples and we scanned and making the 3D drawings.

These three parts are made from zamak material, that is zinc material, and made by die casting

Die casting is a high-pressure metal casting process used to produce complex, dimensionally precise metal parts with smooth surfaces. It works by forcing molten metal, typically non-ferrous alloys like aluminum, zinc, or magnesium, into a reusable steel mold, called a die, under intense pressure ranging from 100 to 5,000 bars. 

 

 

The die is precision-machined to the exact shape of the desired part, often featuring intricate details such as thin walls, fine threads, or internal cavities. Once the molten metal is injected into the die, it rapidly cools and solidifies, taking the form of the mold cavity. After solidification, the die is opened, and the cast part is ejected. 

 

This process is valued for its efficiency in mass production, as dies can be used repeatedly to create thousands (or even millions) of identical parts with minimal variation. It also reduces the need for post-casting machining.

After finishing the casting, they underwent the surface treatment: chroming
